Afternow

Simon Kistler, born in 1986 in Switzerland, is a DJ, party organizer and software developer. He started his musical career in 2002 in Brugg, a city in the north of Switzerland. With friends, he organized hard dance parties, at which he also performed as a DJ. Soon after he was booked by other promoters and in 2007 he got the opportunity to play his debut in one of the biggest and most famous clubs in Switzerland, the OXA. After this successful gig, he was playing at all hard dance parties there till the club closed in 2013. This reference was boosting his career and In the following years, he got the chance to play at countless hard dance events all over Switzerland.

Around the same time, he became more and more interested in psytrance and since 2016 he was playing officially at psytrance events under the pseudonym “Afternow”. Driven by the motivation of “shaping the scene”, he joined the association “Monoton” in 2019. Monoton runs the club Schlaflos (Sleepless) in Aarau. Besides his role as a developer, he’s organizing events at Schalflos (i.e. Alien Autopsy, Acid Farm and more). Around the end of 2022 he was invited to join Belgian psytrance label Dacru Records as an official label DJ.

As a flexible and very experienced DJ, Simon finds the right tracks for every set time. Sometimes deep, sometimes melodic, sometimes trippy, but always energetic.
