THE UTOPIAS ALLEY

The Utopias Alley is free and open to all. In this area, the stands will be offering a wide range of introductory activities so that festival-goers can get to know each other around themes inherent to the Hadra Trance Festival. They’ll be able to enjoy a wide range of activities, including an introduction to DJing and computer-aided design, as well as free workshops, a second-hand shop, a free zone, a library, giant wooden games and even a flying classroom!

ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVISM

The stand offers discussions or activities in certain time slots:

  • Group presentation of the Alternatiba movement
  • Group presentation of the Extinction Rebellion movement
  • Biodiversity mural
  • Political advocacy: approaching your municipality with the Pact for Transition
  • Democracy:workshop on elections without candidates
  • Finance : which bank should you choose in accordance with your ethic?

It also offers entertainment in certain slots:

  • Activities/games on the biodiversity of wetlands and/or birds
  • Sewing workshop for flags or decorative accessories
  • Glitter stand (biodegradable)
  • Activist board games 
  • Choir workshop

Herbalism & botany

TOTUM

The aim of the association is to raise awareness of plants and their uses in the broadest sense. We therefore have a number of small activities on offer on the stand:

  • Several games (7-family botanical game, confusion game, riddles…)
  • Plant discovery cards
  • A plant-based library
  • An invitation to discover several plants through the senses (touch, smell…)
  • A discovery of the different medicinal uses (for educational purposes only)
  • A relaxation area
  • Themed chats (plants and hangovers, plants useful to humans AND biodiversity, menstrual cycles, etc.)

And, of course, we’re here to share ideas, answer questions, host events…

INTRODUCTION TO DJING

Are you motivated and inspired by seeing artists perform live? Come and master the turntables during the festival! TranceMission is organising a discovery (or rediscovery) workshop on mixing and electronic music, with an introductory DJing stand run by artists. You can learn the basics of mixing and make your first transitions, all on professional equipment.

A DJ from Grenoble and a fervent devotee of psytrance and electronic music, Arkeya gained experience as part of the Sister Act and Hadra Trancemission support programmes. She has developed a project that blends progressive psytrance and full-on, delivering hard-hitting, explosive marathons. Arkeya draws her inspiration from tribal, acid and psychedelic atmospheres, offering an evolving journey brimming with energy, colour and light.

UNIVERSITEK is organising an information and exhibition stand on the theme of the history and prejudices surrounding electronic music cultures, including an exhibition with displays (timeline, banners, photos, etc.).

Festival-goers will also be able to find out more about our UNIVERSITEK educational project. We’ll have communication documents available on the stand and some of our speakers will be on hand to discuss the masterclasses we’re running this year.

Developed by the association La CASE and DJ Gender Fluid, Universitek is a free e-learning platform dedicated to electronic music. The project offers free online training courses and masterclasses at various levels. Universitek’s aim is to promote electronic music and culture within the university environment in an accessible way.

An introduction to MAO and music production using Arturia instruments.
 The aim is to share our passion and knowledge with people who are interested, but also to let them experiment for themselves, whatever their level of knowledge.

Three workshops to discover the different ways and means of composing electronic and other types of music, including:
– MAO, computer-assisted music using Ableton software.
– Sound synthesis on hardware machines.
– Sampling via hardware machines.

Are you wondering about your use of digital technology? Would you like to better understand why using the services of the web giants is a problem? Would you like to better understand surveillance capitalism? On this stand, the CHATONS, Framasoft, La Quadrature du Net and Low-Tech Lab associations will be offering workshops and documentation to help you discover free, ethical and emancipatory alternatives.

COLLECTIF CHATONS is the Collectif des Hébergeurs Alternatifs, Transparents, Ouverts, Neutres et Solidaires, Framasoft and La Quadrature du Net. At the stand, festival-goers will be able to discuss digital issues, surveillance capitalism and how to adopt a technocritical stance. They can also find out about existing alternative software and services, and get help installing these tools.

LOW TECH LAB

The Low-tech lab communities propose to present the Low-tech approach.

We use the term low-tech to describe objects, systems, techniques, services, know-how, practices, lifestyles and even schools of thought that incorporate technology according to three main principles: UsefulAccessibleSustainable.

We will have a stand with an exhibition of A3 posters and demonstrators. We’ll be running an experimental vegetable dyeing workshop, as well as a conference presenting our approach and our vision of a low-tech society.

Festi'Signe

Festi’Signe is an association whose aim is to make festivals accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing people, by giving visibility to sign language. Accessibility is a crucial issue in ensuring that all festival-goers can fully enjoy the events.

The importance of accessibility at festivals cannot be underestimated. By incorporating sign language and other accessibility measures, Hadra Trance Festival strives to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. These efforts help to break down communication barriers and foster genuine social inclusion.

The stand includes a presentation of the association and its harm reduction manual, as well as a quiz.

The talking circles on psychedelic experiences are a space where we invite everyone to share their relationship and/or experience with psychedelics, in a safe environment of non-judgement and sympathetic listening. The circle will begin with an anchoring ritual, before moving on to discussion. Attendance will be limited to around fifteen people per session, to allow everyone to express themselves and be listened to.
