ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVISM

alternatiba/anv-COP21

WITH ALTERNATIBA GRENOBLE

Alternatiba/ANV-COP21 is a citizens’ movement born in 2013 in the Basque Country. We campaign for climate and social justice by promoting a radical change of system. We want a just society, based on the values of solidarity, cooperation, respect and a culture of non-violence.

Our aim? To change the system, not the climate!

With a network of over 130 local collectives and 15 mobilisation bases, we are using a two-legged strategy:

– Alternatiba promotes alternatives to the current climate system.

– ANV-COP21 uses civil disobedience to denounce and fight against harmful and pernicious projects.

EXTINCTION REBELLION

AVEC EXTINCTION REBELLION GRENOBLE
Created in 2018 in the UK, Extinction Rebellion (XR) is an international environmental movement that uses non-violent civil disobedience (NVCD) to fight against climate inaction, the 6th mass extinction, and to minimise the risk of social collapse.

It’s a movement that aims to be horizontal, decentralised and inclusive of everyone, rallying around 4 demands and 10 principles (accessible on our website).

Our strategy is to use mass DCNV exposed to the sight of all⋅te⋅s to shake up the economic system and raise public awareness. In this way, we want to force the political system to change and take action, and that’s why we’re here today.

DISCUSSION
“Women’s plant allies”

TOTUM

The Totum association works to discover and disseminate knowledge about medicinal and edible plants. We organise meetings, picking workshops, transfo, cooking and botanical walks on the theme of medicinal plants.

Totum, what is it ?

Totum :All the active and useful molecules of a plant. The molecules of a plant consumed separately will not be as effective as the plant’s totum.

So we’ve taken our inspiration from plants, bringing together the totality of our knowledge and experience in herbalism, botany and phytotherapy, and in this way spreading the knowledge of medicinal plants among ourselves and those around us!

FEEDING YOURSELF WITH WILD PLANTS

Friday at 7pm

WILD PLANT DISCOVERY WALK

Friday & Saturday at 10am & 12am

CUEILLEUR D'ESTRAN

WITH EDOUAR BAL:

Eating with wild plants

Agriculture was born around 12,000 years ago. That was yesterday, on the scale of our species. So would it still be possible, or even desirable, to return to an exclusively wild diet? What would be the benefits or problems associated with this choice?

Presentation:
Edouard Bal has been a botanical gatherer and facilitator since 2017. Trained at François Couplan’s Collège Pratique d’Ethnobotanique, Christophe de Hody’s Chemin de la Nature, and on algae with Régine Quéva, I propose outings around the plant and fungal world, particularly on the Breton coast, where wild plants, algae and even mushrooms delight us throughout the year.

He organises gatherings of wild plants in different parts of France, particularly along the coast between Finistère and Côtes d’Armor. The aim of these outings is to teach you about ten of them, so that you can find your own way around on the foreshore and in your kitchen.

There are a multitude of flowers, plants and species. Each with its own physical characteristics, properties, benefits and characteristics. Doesn’t that remind you of human characteristics?

If you take the time to observe them carefully and in detail, each flower is unique, just as each human being is unique.

Services/training: Ayurvedic massage, Chinese medicine (acupuncture), creation of natural cosmetics and skincare products (balm, soap, shampoo).

For the second year running, she is taking part in the Hadra Trance Festival with painting workshops to create point mandalas, as well as in the “Herbalism & Botany” area.

You can learn the basics of mixing and make your first transitions, all on professional equipment.

WITH :

  • Arkeya:
A fan of electronic music and psytrance culture for nearly 10 years, Arkeya turned to the dark side of the decks after taking part in a number of training workshops organised by Trancemission. Having cut her teeth with the Sister Act programme, Arkeya continues to develop her musical project, accompanied by Hadra Trancemission.

A chameleon of psychedelic music, Arkeya sails through explosive DJ sets mixing progressive and psytrance, in a constant search for colourful, rhythmic and punchy sounds.

  • Adam Giggster:

Freshly arrived from Normandy, Adam Giggster discovered DJing at the same time as British bass music (DnB, UK Garage/Bassline). As a young rookie with the Bass Jump Krew, he fell into this world and developed a passion for the sound as a whole. Since then, he’s been keen to learn more about the subject and pass on his knowledge, always with the same objective in mind: to make the Reeses go all the way to Bristol!
